Game Skills

Game Skills classes are for our players preparing to start external competition or already in our competition teams. Classes will be a mix of skills similar to our classes and 5v5 game play with a focus on a concept each fortnight. These classes will run for 90 minutes with approximately half of the class being gameplay with constraints and instruction to promote learning and the other half being skills driven training. The aim is that we get all teams in all age groups playing in a similar style and with consistent core concepts that allow players to move through age groups in a linear manner as they age and develop their skills. We currently offer these classes only on Saturdays at Lidcombe (all age groups), Fridays in St Ives (U10/U12) and Sundays in Lane Cove (U12 & U14/U16). Lidcombe Saturday Game Skills classes: U10 runs from 12:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., U12 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and U14/U16 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. St Ives Friday U10/U12 Game Skills runs from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., and the Lane Cove U12 & U14/U16 Game Skills both run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Classes run for 90 to 120 minutes (location dependent) each week and are suitable only for players already competing or looking to compete in games.
